Dr. Mir Zahoor Gul is born and brought up in Anantnag town (a place of infinite springs), in the south of Kashmir. He did his Masters from the University of Kashmir and later moved to Hyderabad where he pursued a Ph.D. in Plant Biotechnology from the University of Hyderabad (An Institute of Eminence). Zahoor is currently working as a Post-Doctoral Fellow at the Department of Biochemistry, University College of Science, Osmania University, Hyderabad. Zahoor is an enthusiastic researcher and enjoys his skills and abilities to contribute to the exciting scientific advances in his area of interest. Besides being engaged in scientific adventures, Zahoor loves to interact with people to gain new inspirations and inspire others. He is a literary enthusiast with a keen interest in fiction. His other diverse interests include Cricket, Travel, Wildlife, and Music.

With a desire to give back to society and use his capabilities to help and guide the bright and deserving students to fulfill their academic aspirations, he joined the JK Scientists. This association has broadened his perspective in terms of social activities. He is a firm believer that we should all work towards being better than we were yesterday and also leave the world a better place than we found it.
